KUALA LUMPUR:The Dewan Rakyat today passed the Supply Bill (Budget) 2021 for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the committee stage.

With the approval, the bill for three ministries have been passed, including the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister's Department.

Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker, Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said who announced the matter, said it was decided with the support of the majority of Members of Parliament without going through the bloc voting process.

Prior to the voting, Deputy Foreign Minister, Datuk Kamarudin Jaafar, had conducted the winding-up session on behalf of the ministry.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been allocated RM777.9 million in the 2021 Budget -- RM703.1 million for operating expenses and RM74.78 million for development expenditure.
